Walking In and Around Monona

Dean Bowles has worked with the Madison Area Volkssport Association to create a walk in Monona. The kick-off was April 21st but if you missed it you can ask for the "Volkssport Box" at the Monona Police Dept. office any time, and follow the map that is in the box.

 

Lake Monona Water Walk July 6-8.

Ojibwa Grandmother Josephine Mandamin and author/water researcher William Waterway Marks will be leading activities that will include a walk aroumd Lake Monona "to raise awareness, appreciation and gratitude for the waters of our community". Contact Dianne Aldrich for more info 279-5225

Civil War Remembered

The Second Sunday Open House on June 10th will feature a program on the Civil War starting at 3 pm.

There will be an exhibit of Civil War books, many of which will be for sale. Information about the men who served from Blooming Grove will be available and we hope to have the authors (Patricia Bauer and David Geister) of B is for Battle Cry book in attendance.
